Damn Berry!

This film was created by a group of girls in our classroom. It was based on a drink called "Damn Berry". It showed a young girl being more energized & confident while playing her netball game, from the help of this product. 

This was one of the best films in our class and my personal favorite so I hope you enjoy this film. 

Maritime Museum

Today Room 11, Room 13 and Room 12 went to Maritime Museum. We were put into groups of 4 - 5 and I was lucky enough to have a the best group which was fulled with my friends and our amazing parent helper. Here are some photos

What's the shot?

In class we had to get into buddies or by yourself and watch a trailer of a movie that was given to us. The movie me and my partner picked was Beauty and The Beast. With this trailer we had to write down the different shots it had,what time it was filmed and the reason why the producers did that effect, the purpose of why they used it and why it was used.

How much sugar?

In class today our teacher put us into groups of 3-4. In this group we had 2 spoons, 8 zip lock bags, 8 photos of different drinks and the main ingredient which is sugar. With all of this we had to make a prediction of how much sugar was in each group.

R.J & Ivanka

Some of our school leaders went down to Room 6 and they did a little bit of a get to know you activity.

The teacher paired them up with a student and they had to write down some facts that their partner told them and also had to write a story about their buddy with all of their facts included.

Inquiry presentation

In class we had to create a presentation focusing around homelessness or bullying. I decided to go with homelessness and if the Tamaki housing project is one of the causes.

Play based learning

Play Based Learning

My thoughts on play based learning is alright. It can be enjoyable for a little bit but for me if it goes for to long it gets kind of boring. It would be fun if there would be more thing to create/play with.
I think the purpose for Play based learning is to build up kids imagination and for kids to create new things with the materials that we were given to use.

Next week I hope that we can bring more things to play/create with for the play based learning.
I think we can make play based learning better is to make more different areas and things to play with so kids can have more fun while we play.

The learning that I think play based learning includes is to mainly build up kids imagination and also for kids to have fun.
